Can you be confident you are completely sane? You can never be too certain. After reading S. Monique Craig’s new science fiction and psychological horror The Arachne Experiment, you may begin questioning your perceptions of reality.

Stewart Barclay is not convinced that he is mentally ill, much less a person who has attempted suicide. But despite his protests, Stewart is sent to a half-way house for the insane where he is confronted by dark, seemingly unnatural events that force him to distinguish reality from illusion.

Stewart finds himself among a wide assortment of inmates: Maggie, a contemptuous and manipulating matron; Roger, a young construction worker with an explosive temper and odd, self-injurious behavior; and Sydney, a genius turned madman, who lives in the padded cells of the dungeon of Wycliff Manor.

Stewart learns that things at Wycliff Manor are more than what they appear to be as he is forced to distinguish between fantasy and reality in a fervent struggle for survival.

S. Monique Craig holds a B.A. degree in journalism and media arts. She worked as a journalist for a few years before she decided to dedicate her life to writing fiction and poetry. She is also an accomplished artist and illustrator, and has spent many years working as a graphic artist and desktop publisher. She enjoys bodybuilding, martial arts and motorcycling.

The Arachne Experiment is available in softcover (ISBN 1-58939-571-9) and hardcover (ISBN 1-58939-572-7) from Virtualbookworm.com, Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com. The book can also be ordered from most bookstores around the United States and the United Kingdom. More information about the book and author can be found at www.smcraig.com.
