When citizens need help, they call the police. When police officers need help, they call for Lieutenant Peterson and his SWAT team. From drug raids to hostage-rescue takedowns, J.F. Skaehill offers an exciting inside glimpse into the dangerous world of SWAT in his book, The Lion’s Den.

SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) Commander Peterson is in charge of one of the best tactical units in the country. For unknown reasons, his immediate supervisor is determined to see him fail. Peterson finds himself under fire from the police department, and is forced to defend his credibility, fight for his career and battle for the very existence of the SWAT team.

The SWAT officers struggle for survival trying to train, conduct raids and balance their professional and personal lives, assailed by enemies from outside the department as well as from within. To make matters worse, Peterson and the SWAT team square off against the most dangerous criminal they’ve ever faced.

J.F. Skaehill has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and over twelve years of law enforcement experience. He is an eight-year veteran of his police department’s SWAT team. He has drawn from his own tactical experiences and imagination in writing The Lion’s Den. He is currently assigned as a patrol sergeant and SWAT team leader.

The Lion’s Den is available in softcover (ISBN 1-58939-424-0) from Virtualbookworm.com, Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com. The book can also be ordered from most bookstores around the United States and the United Kingdom. More information about the book and author can be found at www.jfskaehill.com.
