When Eric Wilder visited New Orleans, he looked for a book that would give him a quick feel for the city. Not finding what he was looking for, Wilder wrote Murder Etouffee, a collection of information and ideas about culture, cuisine, and a historical overview of the Big Easy.

This book is a compilation of stories about Louisiana and New Orleans. It contains regional recipes and cooking tips that embody Creole and Cajun cuisine, giving readers and authentic feel for the people of New Orleans.

After surviving the worse natural disaster in the history of this country, this book celebrates the uniqueness of New Orleans. Wilder’s whimsical and historical tour of this rich and resilient culture will give travelers on the road and stay-at-home readers a guide to life in New Orleans.

Wilder was raised in Louisiana and holds degrees in geology from NLU and University of Arkansas. Also author of the mystery novel Ghost of a Chance, he lives and writes in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Murder Etouffee is available in hardcover (ISBN 1-58939-860-2) and softcover (ISBN 1-58939-859-9) from Virtualbookworm.com, Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com. The book can also be ordered from most bookstores around the United States and the United Kingdom.
