How does a family vacation appear from the eyes of a 10 year old boy? In Brandon’s Trail, a new book by Marvin Sosna, Brandon and his family hike the 212 miles of the John Muir Trail.

Told through his on-trail journal, it takes the reader into storms and star-filled nights from Yosemite Valley to the peak of Mount Whitney. Through the family’s adventures, the personalities and relationships that bind them are discovered.

Sosna has spent 40 summers in the High Sierra. A former newspaper editor, he teaches journalism, and is a writer, photographer and painter. His play, “Stages,” was produced in 2002, and he lives with his wife in Morro Bay, California.

Brandon’s Trail is available in softcover (ISBN 1-58939-875-0) from Virtualbookworm.com, Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com. The book can also be ordered from most bookstores around the United States and the United Kingdom.
